The BAPS Hindu Mandir in Abu Dhabi, the Middle East's first traditional stone temple, has reached a significant milestone, welcoming its one-millionth visitor this week. The temple's spokesperson highlighted the requirement for pre-registration through its booking platform to manage the anticipated surge in visitors during the Eid Al Adha holidays.

Milestone Achievement

In a statement released on June 14, the temple celebrated this milestone by acknowledging the collective prayers, hopes, and stories of love, peace, and harmony that visitors have brought to the site. "Celebrating a million prayers, a million hearts, a million hopes, and a million stories of love, peace, and harmony. Special prayers for all the 1 million visitors," the temple stated. This achievement comes just over 100 days since the temple's grand inauguration on February 14.

 Attraction and Significance

The iconic sandstone temple, described as a "spiritual oasis for global harmony," has attracted thousands of visitors from within the UAE and around the world. Since its official opening, the temple has served as a beacon for those seeking spiritual solace and a place to connect with their cultural roots.

 Eid Al Adha Preparations

With the Eid Al Adha holidays approaching, the temple is preparing for a significant increase in visitor numbers. To ensure an organized and seamless experience, the temple has implemented a pre-registration system via its user-friendly booking platform. During the holiday period, the temple will extend its visiting hours, opening from 8 am to 9 pm.

 Pre-Registration Requirement

The temple's spokesperson emphasized the importance of pre-registration, noting that visitors can log onto the temple's website to select their preferred date and time slot. The temple operates from Tuesday to Sunday and remains closed on Mondays. However, visitors without prior registration during the Eid holiday period may be denied entry based on prevailing conditions at the time.

"Please note that any individual or groups visiting the Mandir without prior registration during the Eid holiday period will be subject to approval for entry based on prevailing conditions at that time. Registering in advance ensures a seamless process for your visit and contributes to an organized experience for all worshippers," the temple advised.

 Transportation and Accessibility

For the convenience of visitors, a limited-stop public bus, service number 203, operates between the central bus station and the temple in Abu Mureikha, located off the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway. This service facilitates easy access to the temple for those relying on public transportation.

 Conclusion

The BAPS Hindu Mandir's announcement of extended hours during the Eid Al Adha holidays and its milestone of one million visitors underscores its growing significance as a spiritual and cultural landmark in the Middle East. By implementing a pre-registration system, the temple aims to provide a smooth and organized experience for all visitors, ensuring that the influx of worshippers during the holidays is managed effectively.

As the temple continues to attract a diverse range of visitors, it remains committed to promoting values of love, peace, and harmony, reinforcing its role as a vital spiritual oasis in the region.
