The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (Adafsa) enforced the closure following multiple violations of hygiene standards at Khushab Darbar Restaurant. Officials highlighted significant lapses in maintaining cleanliness in both kitchen and storage areas.

According to Adafsa, the restaurant neglected to uphold proper hygiene practices, particularly failing to clean kitchen equipment and refrigerators adequately. Moreover, inspection revealed unsatisfactory conditions of ceilings and floors in the food preparation section.

The closure directive will remain in effect until the establishment rectifies these hygiene deficiencies to meet regulatory standards.

This incident follows a recent closure of another restaurant due to similar food safety infringements, including reports of insect presence in its kitchen.

Adafsa urges residents to promptly report any concerns regarding food safety practices observed at local dining establishments.
