Starting January 1, 2025, employers will be obligated to provide health coverage for their registered workers when issuing or renewing their residency permits.

Notably, the validity period of Emirati passports for individuals aged 21 and above was extended from five to 10 years, streamlining administrative processes and enhancing convenience for citizens.
Furthermore, the Digital Wellbeing Council took decisive action against online threats targeting the youth, shutting down over 160,000 websites and social media accounts promoting substance abuse and illicit activities. Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the pivotal role of families, media, and schools in nurturing awareness among the younger generation and safeguarding their well-being.
