Dubai: Now that Eid Al Fitr has passed, if you’re already looking to plan your next vacation, your next public holiday in the UAE is Eid Al Adha. Note that Islamic holidays like Eid Al Adha are celebrated based on moon sightings so the official dates are confirmed by the Moon Sighting Committee within the UAE a few days before the holiday.

When is Eid Al Adha 2025 in the UAE?

Eid Al Adha is one of the most celebrated holidays in the Islamic calendar, and based on astronomical calculations done by the Emirates Astronomy Society on April 4th, it is forecasted to be celebrated on Friday, June 6, 2025.

The Dhu Al Hijjah moon, which is the last month in the islamic lunar months, is expected to show its crescent on the 27 of May, with the actual sighting likely to happen on 28 May.

If the predictions turn out to be true, Arafah Day which is a day of fasting and self-reflection observed on the 9th of Dhu Al Hijjah is expected to be on June 5th which means in turn Eid Al Adha will be on Friday, 6th of June.
