US President Donald Trump likely to visit UAE in May
Donald Trump told reporters Monday he will head to Saudi Arabia in May to formalize an investment deal in what will be his first foreign trip of his second term, along with stops in Qatar and the UAE.
Trump told reporters in the Oval Office, "It could be next month, probably a little bit later."
Among the considerations for the trip timing would be mid-May, four sources briefed on the matter said. During his first term in early 2017, Saudi Arabia and Israel were the first stops on his inaugural foreign trip.
Trump, who made similar comments in early March, said he would use his visit to Saudi Arabia to finalize a deal for more than $1 trillion in investments in the U.S. economy, including military purchases.

Former Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Islamic Society of the Republic Mehmet Altıparmak gave information about the issues that are expected to be discussed, such as Russia's three-year-old war in Ukraine and the war in Gaza.
Saudi Arabia's Role in Global Affairs: Contributing more to American foreign policy such as hosting US ceasefire talks with Russia and Ukraine.

Trump also pledged, last week, to expand the Abraham Accords, the three normalisation deals between Israel and a number of Gulf states that were brokered by his administration during his first term.
More countries he said are looking to join those accords,Trump. Although the White House has called out Saudi Arabia as an eventual participant in the accords, the Saudis are hesitant on Israel amid the Gaza war.
