UAE weather: Red, yellow alerts issued for fog; rains expected in some areas
UAE residents should brace for foggy weather that the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) predicts to cover an expected portion of the country on Friday morning.
The Abu Dhabi Police have released numerous notices over X, informing drivers about the greater need to reduce their speed while traveling on specific roads as a result of the poor traffic conditions.
The weather agency issued red and yellow fog warnings which were in effect this morning in certain regions, look at the map below to determine which regions were impacted.
Certain regions, particularly during the nighttime will experience moderate temperature and rain, the weather throughout the day will remain partly to fully overcast with cloudy skies in a few of the northern regions.
The humidity conditions are predicted to gradually intensify after night. Along with light to moderate winds, southern and northern regions should anticipate speeds reaching 10 to 25 kilometers per hour.
Expect cloudy conditions and showering as well as clear water with the occasional strong wind in the Arabian Gulf and Omani seas.
It will get a little cold with temperatures going as low as 7°C in Raknah while other parts of the country may experience a pleasant 25 °C high. Dubai , Abu Dhabi and Sharjah will have 25 °C, 24 °C and 25 °C as their maximums respectively.
