UAE weather: Red alert issued for fog; temperatures to drop
On Wednesday morning, Abu Dhabi experienced low visibility, with thick fog blanketing entire regions of the city. This caused the Guidelines department to be put on alert and issue yellow and red rain warnings.
The alerts were issued the night earlier at around 2 am and will last until around 9 am. One of the places that was heavily impacted is Abu Dhabi's Southern region known as Al Dhafra.
Here's a map:
Temperatures are projected to fall all over the nation, reaching a mild 18 degrees Celsius and it is likely to be felt in some areas of Abu Dhabi. In Dubai, however, the mercury may still reach a maximum of 32 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 24 degrees Celsius.
Nights will be characterized by increased humidity and this will last until the early hours of the following day. On Thursday morning, some coastal and internal areas are likely to experience foggy weather again.
In the Arabian Gulf, the wave heights are to be categorized as light to moderate, while the respective waves in the Sea of Oman will only be light.
