UAE weather: Light rainfall in some areas; rise in temperatures expected

On Monday, February 17 various regions of the UAE will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies while coastal and eastern areas might see light rainfall.

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) predicts that light to moderate rains will continue through Tuesday, February 18.

Some internal areas are likely to experience humidity during nighttime and early Tuesday morning. Dubai will reach a high of 28ºC while Abu Dhabi will experience temperatures up to 30ºC.


Expect light to moderate winds from the southeast to northeast which may occasionally become stronger. The wind speed will remain between 10 and 25 kilometers per hour but could increase to 40 kilometers per hour.


The gusts of wind will send dust blowing across the entire landscape. A previous weather forecast from the department indicated that a sandstorm could happen before Tuesday.


The weather bulletin shows that sea conditions will reach rough to moderate levels in the Arabian Gulf and light levels in the Oman Sea.
