UAE visa for friends, relatives: Residents can invite people for up to 90 days via online service
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security has asked the people of UAE and its residents to make use of the advantages provided by the Friend or Relative Visa which can be availed through the website and smart application of the authority.
The authority accepts a person seeking this visa to either travel once, or multiple times and for a duration of 30 to 90 days, under the Friend Or Relative Visa. The visa is valid for a period of 60 days for entry but the applicant is able to extend it while they are in the country.
The clients can availing this service online must log in using their digital identity on the authority’s website or the mobile application and select visa type they need along with the duration then they furnish their application for the visa stating the correct details.
The following documents must be in place in order to apply for the visa: a valid passport, travel ticket, healthcare insurance if you are a friend or a relative of a UAE citizen or a foreign resident of the first or the second degree and lastly in order to get this visa the foreign resident must have a classified job.
Maj-Gen Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, director-general of the authority, stated that the service of visa is meant to assist the people in reuniting with their families and friends thereby bringing an improvement in the quality of life within the society.
This program enables people to request their friends and family to visit them in the United Arab Emirates and experience its investment opportunities and privileges to the fullest.
Al Khaili stressed the need to respect the period of validity of the visa, and advised that administrative penalties would be imposed on violations including overstaying or not departing the country.
The policy is in line with the UAE’s objectives of ensuring seamless family reunification whilst improving visitors experience in the country.
