Customers have only a handful of days remaining to take advantage of discounts that Global Village offers, which are up to 70 per cent. As Season 29 comes to an end this Sunday, merchants in different pavilions are holding final clearance sales on a wide assortment including but not limited to: abayas, accessories, footwear, and souvenirs.

Abaya pants are now costing Fatima Shamsher only Dh60 despite her seeing them priced at Dh150 just a few weeks ago. “That is a cut of nearly 60 percent which is amazing considering the quality. I could not resist getting two more,” stated a resident of Sheikh Zayed Road.

Another shopper Zulekha Samreen was seen shopping alongside her kids and other relatives. “They are all set for the summer vacation,” she stated. “I bought three pairs of sandals for Dh100 in the India Pavilion. Because of the discounts, I have been able to purchase a lot of gifts for my relatives in Lucknow whom I will be visiting during the summer vacation.”

"Slippers which I am guessing I would have had to pay Dh80 for, now due to the discounts, I have received amazing deals. I have spent approximately Dh550 while I would have previously paid around Dh1500,” stated the mysterious shopper.

Reports indicate that the summer savings are running out, as many vendors have set out to prepare for the shopping season final. From Dh60 handbags to beautiful fashion accessories, there is a rush at Global Village and stock is flying off the shelves. Shoppers and vendors alike are ready to set their prices as demand is at an all-time high.

“We had an astonishing season,” commented Mohammed Ali, a shop owner in the Syrian Pavilion. “To honor this, we are having sales of up to 70 percent on most items.”

“Many of our products are selling like hot cakes.” said Aisha, who specializes in children’s clothes at the Turkish Pavilion.
“Earlier, we used to sell children’s dresses for Dh200, and now we are selling them for Dh50. Customers are enjoying the prices, and they buy in bulk.”

“That’s true.” Mohsin Khan of Lucky Leather in the Pakistan Pavilion respects the vendor's thoughts. “Most of the items are on discount, some having 50 percent off.”

“Before, our jackets were priced at Dh300 each, now we have dropped the price to Dh150. Our belts used to be sold for Dh60 a piece and now with our deal, they are Dh100 for 3 pieces,” said Khan.

“We have had a lot of repeat customers this week alone. People are loving the discounts.”

Meanwhile, at the UAE Pavilion customers are enjoying the huge discounts on the traditional wear such as abayas and jalabia which were selling at Dh150 – 200 and now they can be bought for as low as Dh50.

UAE Pavilion’s vendor, Hilal, said that they want to provide the best services for their customers. "We strive to ensure that shoppers have something memorable to take back and cherish until the next season," said Hilal.

“During this time, we clear out stock for the season, and in these final days, we are slashing our prices. The reception has been phenomenal. These abayas and Jalabias are great, and you can really not resist at Dh50," explains Hilal.

This is the final opportunity to shop from the world at Global Village — before the curtain falls on another successful season, if you seek to purchase unique items, gift your loved ones or indulge in some retail therapy.

Up to 70% off is available in Global Village UAE, but the season is ending this Sunday, so don’t miss out. For the latest updates, Just Dubai is the place to follow.
