The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) introduced the ‘Make it in the Emirates’ Ramadan Market featuring top UAE food products in partnership with local enterprises. The platform operates in support of both local manufacturers and consumers during the first fortnight of Ramadan.

Hany discussed how their company produces a selection of tortillas in spinach, beetroot, corn, and tomato flavors to suit consumer taste preferences.
The UAE imports 75 percent of its tortillas while local producers capture just 25 percent of the market. The growing demand indicates strong opportunities for market expansion. According to Hany future plans include exporting UAE-made tortillas to neighboring countries which will establish the UAE as a major force in the regional tortilla market.
