UAE: Sharjah resident wins Dh20 million in Big Ticket draw
Sebastian intends to distribute the huge amount of award money amongst his ten co-workers.
An Indian expatriate hailing from Kerala has taken home the grand prize amount of Dh20 million in the Big Ticket draw which was held on Sunday, November 3. There was a live announcement of the winner’s name during the draw itself.
Mr. Prince Kolassery Sebastian who has made Sharjah his home with his wife, finally hit the jackpot after about two years when he kept buying the ‘Big Ticket’ raffle tickets. The facilities engineer, who has been in UAE for eight years, was very happy to know about his win.
When the news of his victory first reached him via friends he did not pay them heed until he received a call from the show’s hosts Richard and Bouchra. The Indian expatriate was lost for words upon hearing the news and found it very difficult to contain his elation over such a huge windfall.
Looking into the road ahead, Prince wants to spend part of his earnings in taking care of his family back in India including the needs and future wishes of his children.
Imagine how generating more than five million dollars has changed Prince's life. Even though soaked with the excitement of the startling victory, he still remains focused in striving to create a more promising future for his family.
He purchased the winning ticket, which is ticket number ‘197281’ dated 4th October, and he will share the prize money with his ten colleagues.
Along with the huge cash prize, Big Ticket also gave out a Range Rover Velar worth Dh 355,000. UAE national Nasser Alsuwaidi is the lucky winner of the vehicle with ticket number 015355.
Bigger and better
For the Grand Draw in December, Big Ticket Abu Dhabi targets to award its total value prize this year. A single Tirol winner will receive the grand prize of an incredible Dh 25 million.
In addition to the jackpot prize, the Big Ticket will provide one bar of 24 Karat gold everyday weighing 250g. The period from November 1st to the 28th will see a promotion where if you buy two tickets, you get two for free!
From November 1 to November 28, those who buy two tickets worth Dh 1,000 will be automatically registered to all weekly draws of the newly launched Big Win Contest. Every week one winner will be announced.
