The three detainees, linked to the murder of Moldovan Zvi Kogan, have been named by the authorities in the UAE. The suspects are all Uzbeks and identified as Tohirovic Olimpi (born in 28 years), John Mahmoud Abdel Rahim (28 years), Kamilovic Azizbek (33 years of age).


The family of Kogan reported him missing last Thursday. He was a resident of the UAE having the citizenship of Israel and Moldova. Leiter agencies of the country conducted thorough investigations after the family of Kogan's illegal disappearance. As the police began searching, tragically Kogan’s body was found not long after which finalized in arresting three some people claimed to be responsible for his death.


An operational and investigative team has already launched preliminary investigations into the case,” the Ministry of Interior read a statement confirming investigations on the above mentioned action are in process. The suspects dwelling in UAE will soon be taken to the Public Prosecution from where laws of the land will protect equity in deciding culpability of the offender and motive of crime.


Mr. Kogan was a well known rabbi of the Chabad Hasidic movement residing in the UAE. Members of the community have been grieving his loss and the deadly event leading to him to pass away. He let us soon rest in peace in funeral proceedings in Israel.


The case has drawn attention to the seriousness and professionalism the UAE pours into its criminal investigations. The Ministry of Interior reaffirmed their determination when delivering justice and when safeguarding all people residing substantively and internationally.
