UAE rescues 10 sailors after ship catches on fire; no injuries reported

UAE National Guardsmen successfully saved the lives of 10 Asian sailors who were stuck within a burning ship.

On the commercial vessel, all of the staff located in the ship were safely evacuated without sustaining any injuries and moved to a secure location. On April 24, the specialized teams worked around the clock to carry out the rescue operation.

The Guard Coastguard Group cooperated with the National Search and Rescue Center to execute the operation. The appropriate response was done after the posse received the report, and they acted following the safety protocols.

The National Guard is responsible for rescues relating to subsurface disasters which is done to improve maritime defense and immediate attack on danger, which can result in loss of life and safety.
