UAE President, Trump discuss Gaza ceasefire efforts in phone call
In a phone call held Tuesday, President Sheikh Mohamed discussed with US President Donald Trump efforts to bring about a Gaza ceasefire to preserve stability in the region.
Palestinian health authorities said on March 18 that Israel launched airstrikes on Gaza, killing more than 400 people as casualties reached a single day high since the outbreak of the war after a two-month fragile ceasefire.

Arab leaders last month approved a $53-billion reconstruction plan for Gaza that would not put at risk the 2.4 million people living in the strip, in response to Trump's ' Riviera of the Middle East' plan.
The Arab initiative received global support, particularly from Islamic states and European countries, after the US President's plan to transfer Palestinians to bordering countries was met with rejection by the world.
The two leaders also reviewed the results of the official visit of Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser in the US, during a phone call on Tuesday.
During the visit, the two countries announced several key agreements and partnerships in artificial intelligence, advanced technology, infrastructure, and energy, with both sides noting the optimal developments for the future of bilateral relations.
According to Palestinian health authorities, this represent more than 50,000 people killed since the start of the Israeli air and ground campaign in Gaza, which resumed last week. Hamas murdered over 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and abducted roughly 250 others into Gaza, according to Israel.
