The head of state of the United Arab Emirates called mosies across the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday to organize prayers for rain.
Fasting of Salat alIstisqa, as we now pray, is scheduled for the date of 7 December at 11 am for all Muslims.
One prayer can hope that Allah will be merciful to the nation and prolong the drought. This is the prayer offered in accordance with the traditions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Last year in September he issued the same directive – prayers for rains across the UAE. Then the prayer was recited ten minutes before the first whistle for Friday prayer (Adhan).
Most frequently the prayers were offered in November-December before it was Abu Dhabi’s turn: 2021, 2020, 2017, 2014, 2011, and 2010.
The UAE saw a slight decline in average temperature last week. To recap the forecast, the National Centre of Meteorology, a weather organization in the region, earlier announced a significant prediction for precipitation between the long UAE National holiday from 30 November to 3 December.
