UAE President announces 2025 as Year of Community
President Sheikh Mohamed declared 2025 as the Year of Community for the United Arab Emirates. He asked everyone residing in the UAE to take part in enhancing the community. The national initiative will operate under the slogan 'Hand in Hand'.
According to his social media post he declared that united efforts would build stronger social connections and shared accountability while unleashing potential for growth that benefits all members of society sustainably.
According to Sheikh Mohamed the nation's continued status as an "inspiring model of progress and prosperity" depends on ambitious thoughts together with bold action.
The Year of Community declaration underlined future priorities including "strengthening social bonds and fostering unity across society" according to the Dubai Ruler.
According to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the foundational strength of a community creates a promising future for upcoming generations. The backbone of the nation's power stems from the bonds and support shared among individuals, he emphasized.
The initiative aims to drive innovation across entrepreneurship and new industrial sectors including artificial intelligence while aligning with UAE's national priorities. Throughout 2025 the UAE will conduct multiple events focused on building cohesion while protecting cultural heritage and Emirati values as well as cultivating intergenerational relationships and developing inclusive spaces.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan who serves as Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister and chairs the Presidential Court and Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects will oversee the initiative.
In last year's National Environment Day event, the UAE President declared 2024 to be the Year of Sustainability while continuing the theme from 2023. Sheikh Mohamed declared that protecting the environment required collective action from every member of society.
