The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is expanding its hospitality endeavors through multiple projects including an upcoming adventure park in Khor Fakkan. According to its chief executive the park will feature a zipline, adrenaline-pumping swings and hiking trails.

Our development efforts for Al Jabel Adventures focus on Khor Fakkan which now serves as a favored location for tourists who enjoy hiking and scuba diving activities. Guests at the park will find zip lines along with swings and Stobel gun rides as well as trails for hiking and biking. Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer who serves as CEO of Shurooq stated that the project's delivery is expected to be completed by the year's end.

The company Shurooq operates across multiple industries such as hospitality, tourism, art, cultural initiatives, and real estate development. The authority developed several successful ventures in Sharjah including Moon Retreat, Al Badayer Retreat, Najad Al Meqsar, Al Majaz Waterfront, Al Qasba, Mleiha National Park and Al Noor Island.

At the moment Shurooq manages five hotels and intends to increase its number. “We're currently focusing on hospitality. During the transition from this year to next we will launch three additional hotels to expand our hospitality portfolio through niche developments. "According to Al Qaseer during Sharjah Ramadan Majlis 2025 at Mleiha our focus is on quality and guest experience rather than room quantity."

The Sharjah Safari will be linked with our single hotel which holds the title of the world's largest safari outside Africa. Khor Fakkan will host two hotels with 35 and 45 rooms respectively on the mountain, as Shurooq focuses on delivering experiences instead of selling rooms according to Al Qaseer.

Al Qaseer emphasized Shurooq's work to turn Mleiha into a major cultural and tourism hub because of its 200,000-year-old rich historical and archaeological legacy.

The Mleiha National Park spans 34 square kilometres where history ranges from the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages to the Iron Age and pre-Islamic Age and the museum serves as its core facility for showcasing archaeological discoveries. The Shurooq chief explained at the Majlis that visitors could enjoy sunset lounges along with other activities.

Mleiha quickly develops into a popular spot for both tourism and food and beverage experiences. The influx of visitors to Mleiha leads to the development of new cafes, shops, and restaurants which actively involve local communities.
