UAE National Day: Dubai reserves 4 public beaches for families during 4-day weekend
During the four-day National Day holiday, families will only be allowed to visit four public beaches located in Dubai only designated for them.
Family-oriented beaches have been established from the 30th November to the 3rd December, specifically: Jumeirah Beach 2, Jumeirah 3, Umm Suqeim 1, and Umm Suqeim 2.
Wishing UAE National Day, this year named Eid Al Etihad, private sector employees and public sector employees will have a 4 day weekend.
“It is the intention of authorities to provide beach areas in Dubai to families during Eid Al Etihad holidays,” said Ibrahim Mohammad Juma, director, Public Beaches and Waterways Department, Dubai Municipality. “This aims at controlling the number of beachgoers who tend to throng the beaches during public holidays and special events. In the same move, it also seeks to make sure families have the chance to enjoy the shores of Dubai this festive season.”
A team of 135 personnel has been referred to as the integrated safety and rescue team by the Dubai Municipal Council. Furthermore, throughout the holiday, beach operations will be managed by a supervisory field team of sixty members.
Together with the active partners in Dubai, the municipality is going to manage all the activities concerning the beaches.
