UAE: Multiple injuries reported after bus accident in Khorfakkan
More injuries were sustained in a bus carrying construction workers that collided in Khorfakkan on Monday. The Sharjah Police posted on social media about the accident but did not give any information about its victims.
Telling people not to rumour, the police advised in an Instagram post after midnight: "Cooperation with all relevant authorities is underway for an accident of a bus with workers in Khorfakkan. More news to come on that. ‘We urge the general public to find out information only from the official channels.
It happened on a roundabout before crossing the city, according to social workers.
‘These guys were all Indians, and they worked for a company that has its headquarters in Ajman,’ said Saleem, a social worker at Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC). "The men had gone to Ajman on a day off to see the office of the company and take a grocery shop in that town. They were coming back just after 8pm," he said.
Saleem, who went to the workers in Khorfakkan hospital, said they were all in shock and confused.
