UAE nationals will be able to travel to Lebanon starting May 7, albeit with prior registration on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Twajudi service.

As stated by Mofa, fill requisite fields whether citizens trek directly from UAE or through other countries for hassle-free communication.

Citizens trying to travel from the UAE without completing the registration process on the platform risk having their biometric information disabling them from traveling or facing other legal repercussions.

Fill all compulsory fields that include but are not limited to: a permanent address in Lebanon and change of address if applicable, emergency contact numbers, and purpose of visit.

They are also asked to check-in on Mofa's Twajudi service when departing from outside the UAE.

UAE President Sheikh Mohamed ordered the lifting of travel restrictions after Lebanese President Joseph Aoun’s working visit to the UAE.

The lifting of travel restrictions by the UAE is greatly valued by Prime Minister Nawaf Salam of Lebanon who claims this demonstrates the strong support as well as companionship the two nations have towards each other.

During the visit Lebanon and the UAE made the considered decision to permit travel for citizens after taking further action to aid travel to facilitate the movement between the two states.

UAE enforced a travel ban for its citizens to Lebanon in 2021 due to certain comments made by Lebanon’s information minister about the Lebanese Gulf-Yemen relationship, which strained Gulf Lebanese relations. The Emirates also declared the withdrawal of their diplomats in support of Saudi Arabia..

On the other side, Lebanese citizens were free to undergo travel from Lebanon to UAE.

A while back, UAE termed the reopening of the embassy and resuming its diplomatic activities in Beirut as a major milestone in deepening relation between the two nations.

Lifting the travel restrictions, UAE stated Travel to Lebanon is permitted starting May 7. Subscribe to Just Dubai to receive the latest news!
