According to the latest figures, UAE is the country that has donated most to Gaza and its people during the war between Israel and Hamas.

From October 2023, when the fighting began, to November 2024, the UAE had offered $828 million (Dh3.04 billion) in Gaza aid — 42 per cent of all that went to Palestinians, according to the German Press Agency.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said the latest figures came from the UN Office’s financial tracking system.
The UAE was one of the first nations to intervene in the humanitarian disaster in Gaza in 2023. Shortly after the bombing began, the country sent relief supplies and medical supplies everywhere, whether by plane, truck or boat.

Even though the war has not ended, UAE aid is flowing in. As recently as two days ago, the country sent 20 trucks loaded with food and other aid for Palestinians to get warm this winter. Stacks of jackets, coats, blankets and gloves arrived as well as flour, sugar, cooking oil, rice, medical equipment and much more.

The UAE’s ‘Operation Chivalrous Knight 3’ has been moving 24/7 to relieve the misery of Gazans caught in the grip of a violent conflict. Hundreds of aid trucks arrived in the war zone with medical supplies, food parcels, Emirati dates, shelter tents, food, clothes, water, baby formula, child and woman parcels, blankets and relief bags, etc. There were ambulances, water reservoirs and sewerage lines, too.

The UAE Government has taken the lead in this effort, but ordinary citizens — Emiratis and expats, royals and volunteers — have joined in, helped out wherever they could.
