UAE announces 14 rules for 53rd National Day celebrations
The UAE’s Ministry of Interior has already issued restrictions against violent demonstrations and threats for national celebrations including the ban on organizing spontaneous marches, making road blockages, and accidents in general and such limitations now apply to the 53rd National Day as well.
As the UAE residents anxiously look forward to celebrating Eid Al Etihad and the last long weekend of the year on the 2nd of December, authorities have asked the residents to follow all mandatory guidelines and rules. This has been put in place to ensure that every celebration is safe and orderly free from any unnecessary disruption.
Such guidelines have been placed and every resident is advised to adhere as they go out to take part in the celebrations or search for events that the family can be a part of. Below are 14 rules that each resident needs to observe mostly to do with traffic order and vehicle usage.

Do not organise and attend random marches.

Observe all traffic laws and obey officers’ orders.

Drivers, passengers or even pedestrians should not use party sprays.

Do not cover the number plates of the vehicle and the front side and back windows must not be painted either.

Stickers, signs, and logos should not be affixed on the vehicle except those meant for Eid Al Etihad and other prescribed conditions.

Do not carry more than the prescribed number of passengers in a vehicle and do not let out passengers from car windows and the sunroof.

Do not make any changes to the vehicle or features for which permission has not been obtained that could create sounds or hinder visibility.

Do not obstruct traffic or block access for emergency vehicles such as ambulances, civil defence, police patrols, or perform stunts on internal or external roads.

Stunts should not be performed on internal or external roads.

Do not wrap the side, front or rear windows of the vehicle in any stickers or sunshades that obstruct proper vision.

Scarfs for Eid Al Etihad should be worn only when celebrating Eid Al Etihad.

Only the flag of the United Arab Emirates may be raised; other country flags are prohibited.

Limit the volume of songs and chants to those officially related to Eid Al Etihad celebrations.

Shops engaged in decoration activities and drivers are restricted from displaying or fixing any sticker or flag other than those for Eid Al Etihad which are the UAE flag and its related stickers.
Eid Al Etihad official celebrations are usually hosted by the country’s Rulers and leaders. This time it will take place in picturesque Al Ain surrounded by the breathtaking natural landscapes.
Al Quwain in the UAE has announced 5 days of fireworks, parades, magic shows and lots more to celebrate Eid Al Etihad which will end on December 3. The program will be held at Al Khor Waterfront starting from November 29.
Fujairah recently also made the same announcements of the number of days of celebrating Eid Al Etihad. Events will cover different areas in the Emirates and will coincide with the national holiday on the 2nd of December. The United Arab Emirates marks the unification of its Emirates in 1971 today December 2nd every year hence called Eid Al Etihad. This year the country is celebrating its 53rd anniversary.
Several events and shows shall be held to mark the celebration of different nationalities, people who in UAE will witness this while on a 4-day work skipping as a result of the public holidays occurring on the 2nd and 3rd of December which is Monday and Tuesday respectively.
On the other hand, Dubai will commemorate the occasion during the prep period of six days starting 28th of November to 3rd of December through offers, shows of acrobats, music events, fireworks as well as food.
In Sharjah, however, admission to all public museums located in Sharjah city, Sharjah Kalba and Khorfakkan will be free on 1 and 2 December. There would be a number of organized events to mark all corners of Sharjah and this whole celebration will be enjoyed by the whole family as there would be something for everyone.
The emirate which include Dibba Al Fujairah, Al Tawyeen, Al Qarya, Masafi, Al Seiji, Wum, Murbah, Awhala and other towns surrounding also took part and made sure that all quarters of the country were represented on this great day, the nations cherished holiday.
