The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Wednesday, a successful operation to save a stricken individual in Saudi Arabia.


What we know is that the patient in his late seventies suffered some medical problems while in the Gulf. The UAE National Guard – National Search and Rescue Centre performed Air Ambulance, in collaboration with Saudi officials.


Once the patient was treated at King Khalid hospital in Saudi Arabia, the patient was then flown to the UAE where he was treated at Mediclinic hospital.


The ministry would, however, like to thank the Saudi authorities and the support of the UAE consulate in Jeddah during the course of the air ambulance mission to and from the location of the patient in Saudi Arabia.


This year, the rescue and search authority rescued an Emirati lady from Oman after she was seriously injured in a road traffic accident in the Wilayat of Ibri.

In the same month, an Emirati woman was rescued after being injured in a road traffic accident in Oman. The auto-accident occurred in Salalah and also involved her family members. She was in Oman when she was airlifted along with her family on an air ambulance due to severe injuries sustained during the accident.


Separately, an Oman Hospital reported that a woman had been injured in a car accident and had been transported to a search and rescue aircraft in UAE after treatment in Oman's Nizwa Hospital.
