UAE airlifts 80-year-old from Qatar for urgent medical care
An Emirati man suffering from a medical emergency in Qatar was flown to the UAE for further hospital care.
This patient underwent initial treatment at the Heart Hospital of Hamad Medical Corporation in Doha. He is now 80 years old and faced a sudden complication requiring the specialized services of the Cleveland Clinic in the UAE, where he was subsequently stabilized.
The mission to airlift the patient was undertaken by the National Guard's National Search and Rescue Centre, working alongside the Foreign Affairs Ministry for the overseas medical evacuation.
With the full cooperation of Qatari authorities, this operation was executed. The other department of Qatar was underlined for its support by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as the assistance highlighted for the UAE embassy in Doha worked turbulently to aid the mission enabling its successful completion.
