UAE: 500 new EV charging stations to be installed by end of 2025
A top official announced on Monday that the UAE plans to establish 500 EV charging stations by the year's end to boost clean transportation solutions and decrease carbon emissions.
During the preliminary day of the World Governments Summit Sharif Al Olama from the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure explained that over 100 EV charging stations were established across the country throughout 2024.
The UAE continues to quickly build its electric vehicle charging network to accommodate increasing numbers of electric vehicles.
Al Olama explained that the initiative uses an integrated method which works together with private businesses and local government agencies to build strong EV support infrastructure that advances national sustainability targets.
The ministry intends to expand renewable energy production to surpass 14 gigawatts by 2030 through its dedication to clean energy development.
