Cavendish Maxwell’s research suggests that over 11,300 hotel rooms will be available in Dubai by the year 2027, with 4,620 of them opening this year alone. 

The new room openings will likely generate a plethora of new direct and indirect job opportunities throughout Dubai’s hospitality, retail, transportation, food and beverage, and other industries within the next two years. 

With the addition of 11,300 hotel rooms, there will be a requirement of approximately 15,000 direct hospitality workers, but the true economic potential lies with the secondary effects. With the addition of every hotel role, 2 to 3 jobs in retail, logistics, entertainment and tourism will be created.

The expansion is not solely for beds, it aims to empower the workforce of Dubai, increase revenue and support the title of the city being a global business accessible area where leadership actions result in opportunities that can endure. – Iftikhar Hamdani, Area General Manager of Bahi Ajman Palace and Coral Beach Resort Sharjah. 

He also mentioned that hotels generally need on average anywhere from 1.2 to 1.5 employees per room depending on the level of service offered, whether it is luxury or mid scale and the existence of other services such as spas and restaurants. For Dubai’s high service hospitality market, a conservative average of 1.3 employees per room is realistic.

He observed that added growth in hospitality causes a spike of 2.5–3x in other bears like retail, transportation, construction, and tourism services. “This could generate 36,000-50,000 indirect jobs such as maintenance, tour operators, suppliers etc.” 

According to Cavendish Maxwell, Pas d’elivrance is interlude for the 2025 value of 4,619 rooms across 20 hotels with the biggest increases spotted in the new luxury segment at an mitre of 1,685 rooms across 8 hotels capturing 36 percent of these new supply. Balint said, "Dubai's hospitality industry alone contributed 236 billion Dh towards the UAE's economy, a rise from 220 billion in 2023 and accounting for 12% of the GDP.”


Dubai still holds its place with the static rise of 1% in hotel occupancy levels, reaching a height of 78% in 2024. Average daily prices in Dubai managed to settle at a rate of 690 Dh, still showcasing defense pricing in the hospitality market of Dubai.
