Sheikh Mohammed wraps up 2024 with UAE 'historic' success, welcome 2025 with 'optimism'
As the year draws to a close, the Ruler of Dubai took to social media to reflect on the growth of the UAE and its momentous milestones achieved throughout the year.
With aspirations for the growth of the nation and towards the globe as a whole, the Ruler quoted, “Every year may the Emirates be in glory, pride, prosperity and stability…Every year may the world be well and at peace…Every year may humanity reach to new horizons.” This was said by Shiekh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai.
“With all 2024 Islamic countries, thank God, the Emirates managed to record historical numbers in every indicator and we welcome 2025 with optimism which is enhanced by stronger ambitions and greater resolve to move on the growth and prosperity journey”, to quote one of Sheikh Mohammed’s many statements.
In the video shared by the leader which was an astonishing 85 seconds, showcased the many milestones the country achieved in the year 2024.
Some of these milestones include 140 risks made by the emirates with 55 countries, 1300 New Governmental decisions directed on the development and implementation of law, and Five million working hours.
The UAE was also the leader in 223 global indexes and placed at seventh rank in countries competitive power index. The Emirates ranked fifth on the artificial intelligence index. The country also completed 40 projects, initiatives and legislation at the national level in the areas of technological sciences and artificial intelligence.
According to the figures provided by the Government of Abu Dhabi, The Emaratis’ non-oil GDP stood at Dh660 billion in the first six months of 2024, while the country’s foreign trade during the first nine months of 2024 amounted to Dh2.3 trillion.
Speaking of the Emirates whether, it is tourism sector boom, strategically the UAE is looking more like a growth market as it saw a 200,000 new registered companies in the country for the first time in history and 150 million visits through its airports and all ports.
As a boost to the sustainability measures the uae issued 87 decisions and initiatives on it.
