The government of Abu Dhabi plans to achieve a major milestone in 2027 by becoming the first AI-powered government in the world which will create new opportunities for Emiratis.

The emirate government's Tuesday statement revealed a Dh13 billion allocation that supports their AI native government initiative and creates 5000 new positions for UAE residents.

As a delivery professional at a tech company in Abu Dhabi Shiva Pillai explains how becoming an AI-based government will improve cybersecurity defense systems and emergency response alongside medical care and law enforcement operations.

He explained that AI technology lets the government develop better future plans to enhance services that help people lead better lives and drive economic growth while making decisions faster.

The transformation to an AI-native government would face problems with data security and unequal service quality due to incomplete information.

The system works best when it receives clean data but will deliver unequal results because not all residents share equal information. According to him clean data helps users access more system benefits proportionate to their available data.

He showed specific cases in his records where errors in gender description and name misspellings created problems while processing medical procedures.

A complete shift in public mindset needs to happen before a government can move forward with AI-native services. Pillai noticed that people prefer to receive in-person help even though self-service machines exist at telecom and bank service centers. People who live in the area need to change their thinking to accept AI technology.

According to Pillai machine learning engineers, AI engineers, data scientists, and robotics engineers will create most new job openings so UAE nationals should train in these fields first.

According to tech expert Sami Abd Alnour these new AI rules will create essential AI employment categories that need AI policy experts, compliance managers, AI governance managers, and quality control technicians. Supporting specialists like developers and cybersecurity experts must join designers and trainers to implement and maintain AI systems under this strategy.

UAE citizens will find jobs that mix AI with governance and strategy roles most appealing because they follow the nation's rules for ethical technology use and its role as a global technology leader.

According to Abd Alnour the new AI-native government strategy in Abu Dhabi demands infrastructure that does not exist today.
The transition to an AI-native government needs advanced computing power and modern data facilities unlike any seen before. Sovereign cloud computing adoption will protect government data by keeping it within the UAE and making it secure while allowing for easy expansion.

A single enterprise system will help all government departments work better with private companies while making process changes easier to handle. Through automation we can eliminate unneeded steps while AI systems handle service issues at top speed.

The new system will help people do things quicker and easier. The government needs AI-powered monitoring tools to stay secure and ready for future security threats. According to him the new security measures will defend private data better and block cyber attacks.

According to him a fully native AI government requires AI systems to handle every aspect of public administration and management.

His findings show that AI systems help organizations run better while providing better analysis for smart decisions at lower costs alongside faster and easier citizen services.
