Haj 2025: Saudi Arabia announces deadline for Umrah pilgrims to enter, leave country
According to the Ministry of Haj and Umrah, the last date for Umrah pilgrims to enter the Kingdom is April 13.
Authorities stated the move was aimed at preparations for the upcoming Haj season. Pilgrims have until April 29 to leave. Staying after this date is illegal and will be punishable by law, the Ministry has confirmed.
All pilgrims first visa to the country and then obtain an umrah permit through the nusuk App and for those performing umrah. Those making the pilgrimage should likewise take care to ensure they receive services from licensed operators.
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments must approve such operators, and individuals, campaign organisers and offices will face fines of up to Dh50,000 if they violate the law.
Umrah pilgrims are also required to choose a time for the pilgrimage: no more than one slot is permitted per day.
