Global Village lights its famous 21-metre-high festive tree

Global Village is one of the most popular family places in Dubai that has started the season with the traditional tree-lighting ceremony. 

The tree itself, a whopping 21 metres tall, is covered in lovely Christmas lights, watched over by Santa and his trusted elves from all over the world. 

New Year’s festivities in the park run through Sunday, 5 January 2025. 

The old-fashioned tree lighting was followed by Santa and his Elves arriving with pomp and ceremony, on a stage located near the tree. 

They were performed by a short speech by Santa and they had theme-music, white confetti, snow and bubbles. 
Children met Santa and his assistants, and families were treated to the chance to get memorable photos and videos taken under the tree with festive decorations at the Celebration Walk. 

New this Season 29, Holiday celebrations at Global Village include the new snow games for children and their families in the Restaurant Plaza.
