Eid Al Fitr 2025: Dubai reveals working hours for slaughterhouses
As the holy month of Ramadan nears its closure, the Dubai Municipality has revealed Eid Al Fitr 2025 slaughterhouse working hours in the emirate. On the first day of Eid Al Fitr, Abattoirs in Al Qusais, Al Quoz, Al Lisaili and Hatta from 7.30am till 2pm, the Authority added.
Eid Al Fitr slaughterhouses will operate from 7am to 2pm on the second and third day of Eid Al Fitr.
The first phase will happen during the weekend of March 29, when the UAE's Moon sighting committee is expected to set up to catch a glimpse of the crescent. If it is sighted on the 29 of Ramadan, Eid Al Fitr will be March 30 according to the Gregorian calender. However, if it is not sighted, Eid Al Fitr will commence on March 31. In accordance with the date of moon sighting, Islamic months consists of either 29 or 30 days.
Last week, the UAE had declared Eid Al Fitr holiday dates for the rest of the country as well as for government sector employees. This means that some government workers have up to six days of holiday for Eid Al Fitr, because Friday is the weekend day in the public sector in Sharjah.
