The slaughterhouses in the city of Al Ain have Each slaughterhouse in Al Ain prepared for the coming Eid Al Adha—when devotees of the Muslim faith engage in ritualistic animal sacrifice. The sacrificial act holds spiritual value for practitioners. 

Depending on the sighting of the crescent moon, Eid Al Adha will likely commence around June 6th or 7th. Muslims globally celebrate this event with the ritual of slaughtering a sheep, goat, cow, or even camel. This ritual commemorates the life of Prophet Ibrahim and his undying faith that led him to sacrifice his son for God. 

The local authorities from the Abu Dhabi city of Al Ain have issued a statement claiming the slaughterhouses are prepared for the heightened demand of slaughtering animals during Eid celebrations. Al Ain residents are ensured safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in these facilities. 

As per the statement retrieved from X, the city municipality assigned properly trained staff to be on shift during Eid holidays at 11 slaughterhouses across Al Ain. The total number of butchers and attendants has now reached 451 to ensure the delivery of quick and effective service during the fever of Eid. 

In addition, proactive maintenance control is strengthened within the slaughterhouses, where regular field visits are conducted to these facilities for relentless monitoring of these centers. 

Preventive health methods that require intensive measures are also reinforced, where wide scale disinfection of facilities for disease control is included.

In Dubai, the authorities guaranteed the community that the abattoirs maintain the highest standards of public health and added that these measures are implemented for the Eid celebrations to ensure that the public is serviced qualitatively enjoyed during Eid.

Some grocery applications like Careem and Noon in UAE are providing an opportunity to pre-order an animal for sacrificing online during Eid, with prices starting from Dh1,000.
