The 'Dubai Weddings' initiative, launched by the Community Development Authority in Dubai, aims to support Emiratis in getting married by reducing financial burdens and encouraging family stability. The program, in line with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision, provides incentives to lower marriage costs, offering planning services and fully equipped wedding halls in various areas of Dubai. Couples will also participate in an awareness program and receive family counseling on marriage planning, family management, and financial affairs.

The 'Dubai Weddings' program is part of the broader Dubai Social Agenda 33, which focuses on promoting family values and aims to double the number of Emirati families in the emirate within a decade. Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority, emphasized the program's goal to enhance family and social stability, create a positive model for wedding celebrations, and challenge stereotypical ideas related to extravagant celebrations.

The immediate objective is to provide financial and social support to young people, encouraging them to marry early. By reducing non-essential aspects of wedding celebrations that can pose an additional burden, the program aims to contribute to increasing the number of Emirati families in society. It aligns with Sheikh Mohammed's commitment to supporting citizens and ensuring the welfare and well-being of their families.

As part of the initiative, young Emiratis will benefit from planning services and access to modern wedding halls in areas such as Al Barsha, Al Lisaili, Hatta, and soon Al Twar Hall. The program also includes an awareness initiative and family counseling to assist couples in marriage planning and financial management.

Hessa Buhumaid expressed hope that the program would mark the beginning of a new phase of societal awareness, emphasizing the importance of building happy and stable families within supportive financial and social conditions. The ultimate goal is to create a positive model for wedding celebrations, encouraging more young men and women to marry early and contribute to the growth of Emirati families in society.

With Sheikh Mohammed's vision for a prosperous and family-oriented society, the 'Dubai Weddings' initiative aligns with broader efforts to enhance family unity, social cohesion, and overall community well-being.
