Dubai Safari extends park timings for night safaris for a limited period
Time slot at Dubai Safari Park will be extended this winter season so that guests can enjoy the show during nighttime hours. You’ll also get to watch the animals’ behaviours during evening visitors as the night progresses. The lions of the park will growl louder, the previously shy pygmy hippos will show more energy, and the raptors of carnivores trained for night hunting will be more intense.
The 6pm to 8pm time-slot for night safari will be applicable only from December 13 to January 12. Tickets are on sale on the park website from November 11.
The long hours will be made up of two night safaris by wildlife guides. Guests can ' ‘wait to see’ what the night-time lives of more than 90 species as well as engage in interactive encounters with animals", said the park’s owner. It will be a live-action safari with African fire dances and neon show.
Visitors will get to witness and examine the animals’ natural night-time adaptations – night vision, echolocation, an enhanced sense of smell and hearing.
"We are thrilled to bring you the latest night safari to let you know a different side of the animals at night," Ahmad Al Zarouni, Director Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Dubai Municipality said. This was an opportunity that few get to see behind the scenes of wildlife and witness how we are constantly trying to improve animal welfare during the day and night.
The long timings are being made available in the peak season of the country.
"Engaged precautions" are taken to maintain the environment and animals’ daily habits, Dubai Safari Park said. "There will be only nightly active species on safari so that the guests can see them as they really are.
