Dubai releases all 86 prisoners involved in rental disputes ahead of Eid Al Fitr
Eid Al Fitr: all Dubai prisoners over rent claims released in time for festival
Dubai Rental Disputes Center, thanks to the help of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian & Charity Est., paid off overdue monetary demands in excess of Dh6.8 million, this makes it possible.
The goal of this step is to relieve the pressure on families with negative rental experiences and reduce the suffering of those with similar situations. This initiative aligns with the UAE's humanitarian approach and its interest in supporting families and social stability, and enabling individuals to reconsider their financial crisis.
Commenting on the initiative, Judge Abdul Qader Mousa Mohammed, Chairman of the Dubai Rental Disputes Center, said: "This initiative will significantly bolster the efforts we have undertaken in supporting and helping the underprivileged, in line with the spirit of both law and humanity, whilst ensuring the rights of both parties remain protected. We will keep joining our partners and institutions in promoting social justice and transparent, people-centred services.
In April, before the start of the holy month of Ramadan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, pardoned 1,518 inmates of different nationalities held in correctional and penal institutions in Dubai.
