Dubai parking fee to rise to Dh6 March
Located in already high-demand areas, the premium parking facility will be charged Dh 6 per hour between 8am – 10am and 4pm – 8pmMoreover it states, Parkin has already signed contracts with companies providing paid parking services whose total number in the country is more than seven thousand such places.
It has been announced on Friday that Parkin PJSC will commence charging premium parking prices across the entire Dubai Area including Parks and Beaches next March.
The fee mentioned above applies to areas where paid parking is currently implemented. Additional normal parking which is Dh 4 will be charged at Dh 4.
There will be three contacts within the premium paved area available for these purposes, including metro and bus stations and they will be easily accessible to the public for the majority of the day.
Other charges will be available for those zones as well that include signs for tariffs so that additional information could easily be provided on the company and google maps.
Which are premium parking areas
A fee of Dh6 per hour for parking will be applied in designated zones 500 meters around the metro station, areas having high parking demand such as during the peak hours, markets and commercial activity centers.
Parkin’s Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO Parkin, said: “On the basis of three criteria, the areas for premium parking spaces were selected; First, areas that are easily reached by public transport such as the areas that are located within 500 meters from the metro station; second, the areas that had a high demand for parking spaces during the peak periods; and third, the route that had high number of traffic or congestion, for example markets and even commercial activity zones."
“Premium parking spaces include, for example, commercial areas of Deira and Bur Dubai, Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, Jumeirah, Al Wasl Road and many others,” he mentioned.
Parkin emphasized: "One of the main objectives of this mobile strategy is to manage high density, demand and degree of congestion of parking areas more efficiently, concentrating on the traffic in the city during the peak hours as well as during grand occasions in the emirate."
More information regarding the charges and the areas affected by the tariffs will be provided to the public by Parkin after the regulation has been officially approved.

Congestion pricing policy
To effectively manage the temporary surge in parking demand during major events like conferences, exhibitions, festivals and concerts, the parking fees will also increase.
In a notice issued on 23rd October 2023, the RTA advised residents and visitors that the new tariff would come into force from February 2025. Initially, it would only apply during special events at Dubai World Trade Centre but it will be Dh 25 per hour for any public parking spaces around the event zones.
Parking further added: Adjustable rate special event parking zones will be put in place to allow for a surge in vehicle traffic. Such areas shall be prominently signposted in the course of the event with the price and other information available on the Parkin website, Parkin application, and social networks.
Implementation timeline
The phased roll-out of the new parking fee structures will be done as follows:
-
Beginning this February, areas around major events will have their parking tariffs activated on a per-event basis.
-
All other fee structures for parking including those for premium parking and those for peak hours will be in place by the end of March 2025.
Parkin, which was formed in December 2023, then signed a concession agreement with the RTA to manage more than 200,000 paid parking spaces across the metropolitan area for 49 years. The company possesses a monopoly of the entire market for government paid parking both on and off the street in the city as well as public multi story car parks. Some parking facilities owned by developers are also operated by the company.
Parkin had expansion plans due to its successful operations for the first 9 months including 95 million parking transactions in 2024. The last quarter off 2023 saw the company’s net profits improve by five percent from Dh99.8 million the previous year to Dh104.7 million.
