Dubai: Burj Khalifa to get new lighting system ahead of National Day celebrations
The Burj Khalifa was constructed as an architectural symbol dedicated to the ambition of Dubai so it is only appropriate that it is also fondly referred to as the “Dubai Tower”. Now, with only less than three years to go, this mammoth structure will celebrate its 15th anniversary on January 4, 2025.
In preparation for this milestone, it appears that The Bur Khalifa was recently fitted with a RGBW lighting system. Emaar Properties presented this enhancement respectfully announcing that technology will not overshadow the shape of the building anymore.
In comparison to the previous generation of lighting that dominated the landscape of the tower, the new generation of lighting will be used for the first time during the National Day celebrations on December 1, the date being in conjunction with the festive Eid Al Etihad.
The static aspect of the surround lighting features has been eliminated in favor of multiple multifunctional addressable fixtures that can mix and change shades. Such a long period of 6 months was allocated for the testing and mock-up stage allowing for all the peculiarities of this makeover to be demonstrated.
In its standing height of 829.8 meters, the Burj Khalifa has always been considered beautiful and a masterpiece. In addition to its engineering beauty, it has been made famous by an endless number of celebrity dangerous activities, such as stunts. In a recent video, Youtube star MrBeast climbed the tower to perform one of his challenging stunts.
The monument has also welcomed famous actors Tom Cruise and Will Smith at the top of its height fleet. Hence Burj Khalifa continues its history of being both a daring and sugary location.
On the 15 years mark of its existence, this lighting improvement accentuates Dubai as an innovative town. The tower will still remain to be the focal point of commemorations and a source where pride will radiate for the citizens of UAE and will have multitude gazing at its gratifying figure during special occasions. With the more recent enhancements, the Burj Khalifa has lost none of its architectural dominion and even more so, bursts forth as a unique hallmark of achievement and invention.
The Burj Khalifa has three footer bases implemented, hermetic form supporting the structural form of lit towers of the nation which are an epitome of magnificence during the national holiday.
