Abu Dhabi ranked world safest city for 9th consecutive year

For the ninth year running, Abu Dhabi has been crowned the world’s safest city in 2025, the ranking is the result of a concerted effort by the emirate to create innovative security strategies, plans and initiatives, reports the online database Numbeo. 

The most safe city in the world out of 382 cities worldwide ranked No.1 in 2025 Abu Dhabi has topped Number's position as the world’s safest city for almost 10 years, which speaks to the emirate’s continuing focus on making living in the city more comfortable for its residents, workers and visitors. 

Advertisements by Abu Dhabi Police of a sense of security and safety in the city, along with enhancing the confidence of locals, have also helped to bring Abu Dhabi to the forefront of the Numbeo list as a city where study, work and live is a top choice.
