'Wife thought I won Dh100': UAE Lottery Dh100,000 winner now aiming for Dh100 million prize
The most recent winners of the UAE Lottery are a Lebanese national and a Colombian at Dh100,000 each. Both are now set on the grand prize of Dh100 million.
Cristian Buitrago recalls his moment of joy when he became a Lucky Chance ID winner saying, “The first thing I did was notify my wife.”
“She thought I’d won Dh100 – not Dh100,000!”
Though the Colombian national living in the UAE since 2013 recalls his wife's disbelief well, he also pointed out that he intends to spend the prize money on his eldest daughter’s education.
But goal setting is something Buitrago appears to excel in. “I’m focused on winning the grand prize,” he says. “To everyone who has the good fortune of thinking of joining go ahead. One day, luck will be on your side, and you will have the chance to fulfill your dreams.”
Another winner of Dh100,000, Nadim Mohanna from Lebanon shared his story with us; he won the lotto while trying to test his luck after seeing a notification Botim sent regarding The UAE Lottery, “I wasn’t familiar with it at first,” he says.
“I disclosed it to my spouse and we decided to keep it under wraps until we verified if it was plausible.”
After ensuring The UAE Lottery was dependable, he decided to give it a shot: “Everything sounded legitimate and quite secure to me, so I purchased a ticket, and I intend to buy more and join the activities. Next time, I plan on attempting to win Dh100 million.”
