Fire breaks out at Kuwait’s Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery after drone attack

The fire erupted in some of the units at Al-Mina Al-Ahmadi refinery after it was attacked by the drones in the early hours on Friday, Kuwait Petroleum Company said.

The company said the refinery had been hit by unmanned aerial vehicles for the second time in two days, according to Kuwait’s official news agency KUNA.

There was no casualty or injury according to preliminary assessments, the statement said. The attack set fire in some units of the refinery, it added.

It said firefighting and emergency teams quickly responded to the fire, some refinery units were brought down, and all necessary steps were taken to ensure workers’ safety.
