UAE Shivers: Coldest Day of 2024 Hits 5.3°C

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) experienced its coldest day of the year on January 10, with temperatures dropping to 5.3°C in Raknah (Al Ain) at 7:30 am. This recorded temperature marks the lowest so far in 2024. Residents in several areas have been waking up to chilly temperatures over the past few days, providing a taste of winter weather. Raknah, in particular, has witnessed colder temperatures compared to other areas, experiencing a temperature drop to 5.8°C on Thursday.
Jebel Jais mountain recorded a temperature of 7.2°C on January 9. The winter season in the UAE officially began after December 21, and experts note that the country has experienced a milder winter this year compared to previous years. December's average temperature has been higher than in previous years.
On January 10, some mountainous regions are expected to experience even lower temperatures. It's worth mentioning that Raknah recorded the coldest air temperature in 2021, dropping to -2°C.
