As the month of Ramadan is set to come to an end, UAE and Saudi Arabia have officially announced Eid Al Fitr holidays for employees.

As the month of Ramadan is set to come to an end, UAE and Saudi Arabia have officially announced Eid Al Fitr holidays for employees.

Government and private sector workers in both countries will have a four-day long weekend from Thursday, April 20 to Sunday, April 23.

The holidays for both private and public sectors have been aligned, with all employees set to resume back to work on Monday, April 24.

The Eid holidays are marked on Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3, however, official the official date for Eid is yet to be announced based on the sighting of the moon.

Eid in UAE

On Thursday, the UAE officially announced the Eid holidays for public and private sector workers in the country. All employees will get a four-day weekend starting on Thursday, April 20 until Sunday, April 23.

According to the directives of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, early salaries were announced for all federal employees ahead of Eid Al Fitr. Employees are to begin receiving salaries starting April 17.

Eid in Saudi Arabia

Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia announced a four-day weekend for the private and public sector employees for Eid Al-Fitr 2023.

The Eid Al Fitr holiday in the Kingdom will begin on Thursday, April 20.

The official announcement was made by Saudi’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development via Twitter.

Astronomers have predicted Eid Al Fitr to fall on April 21, following Ramadan 29.

Travel searches have seen an significant increase with residents looking for hassle-free travel destinations for the holiday period.

Visa-free countries are seeing high demand.
