Ajman Police act against National Day traffic violations
On Tuesday, it was reported by the authorities that Ajman Police arrested a number of drivers for inappropriate behavior and reckless driving during the celebration of the 53rd UAE National Day.
These acts of violence allegedly took place on Ajman Beach Road during Eid Al Etihad's festivities.
The authorities removed the cars that had been used to incite the violence, arrested the aggressors, and presented them at the appropriate police stations.
Moreover, the authority imposed penalties against all the offenders for celebrating in a disorderly fashion which included reckless driving that posed risk to the public, noise pollution, altering the vehicle engine in an excessive way, unreasonable vehicle decoration, and other misconduct during this period.
These also included tools used by drivers and passengers for shampooing or hanging out the sunroof and windows of the car.
The authority appealed to drivers of the vehicles and to those celebrating, to follow the relevant laws including that of traffic, emphasizing that they would not be lenient towards any persons who infringe such laws.
In the past, the UAE has enforced 14 laws for inhabitants and motorists, in that order, during the extended weekend.
Eid Al Etihad has been celebrated on December 2 each year since 1971 when the Emirates were unified and its 53rd birthday is about to come.
