Passenger Dies Due to Heart Attack While Landing in Karachi
On Saturday, a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Dhaka was detoured to Karachi when a passenger passed away while flying.
“Flydubai would like to express its deepest condolences to the family of a passenger who passed away on February 18, 2023, on flight FZ 523 from Dubai to Dhaka,” said the airline’s spokesperson .
Smartwings operated the flydubai flight FZ 523 between Dubai International (DXB) and Dhaka Airport.
According to Pakistani media, the 59-year-old Bangladeshi passenger on the flydubai plane died on Saturday after suffering a heart attack and was pronounced dead at the airport.
An onboard medical issue caused an Emirates flight earlier this month from Sydney to Dubai to be diverted to Perth. Another instance involved a mid-air medical issue that forced the airline's aircraft from the United States to Belgium to detour to the Iraqi city of Erbil.
