Will Dubai parking fees increase in 2026? Parkin CEO responds

Parkin Company, the largest provider of paid public parking facilities and services in Dubai, has applied for increases to parking tariffs in the city according to a concession agreement with the regulator, Roads and Transport Authority, a senior official said on Friday.

“Under the concession agreement with the RTA, we are bound to apply for a tariff hike every two years. The former is in February 2026.) We are handling it in line with the concession agreement. The point is not to bloator concealprices,” Eng. Parkin also plans to leverage AI and blockchain technology, Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin told Khaleej Times in an interview on Friday.

However, he added that there’s “no guarantee” that the rates will be higher as it is subject to negotiation with the government and approval of authorities.
However, according to RTA's news during the summer, in February 2026, the company approached it for amendments in the structure of parking tariff and seasonal cards. The weighted-average public parking tariff would be raised if it is approved.

The average hourly rate of paid parking in Dubai rose 51 per cent during the third quarter of 2025 from the comparable period last year. The average weighted tariff per hour is up to Dh3. 03 per hour in July–September 2025 – an increase from Dh2. 01, following the roll-out of a variable parking tariff in April.

“It’s just about making those adjustments to inflation and marketbased pricing as we continue around the world investing in making sure our customers are served, when it comes to the provision of best-in-class parking experiences. The revision lies with the government, which controls the tariffs. We are simply submitting as per the terms of the concession agreement,” Al Ali said.

Parkin also stated in its annual financial filing that the RTA had acknowledged receiving its proposal and would conduct a detailed review before seeking guidance from the Executive Council of Dubai for final approval.

“We’re making our process transparent, and will do so with our customers as we begin to implement,” he said.
