UAE weather this week: More rain, cooler temperatures expected
The UAE just emerged from one of its moistest periods in recent memory. Though conditions have stabilised now, the meteorologists say more rain is on its way. This time, though, it should be much quieter.
Here is what residents should know, including when rain will begin and where it is expected to hit hardest.
What is the latest on the weather?
The recent weather system is over and conditions across the UAE have stabilised, authorities have confirmed. But another, weaker system is forecast early next week, bringing a new opportunity for rain from midweek onward.

Will it be as powerful as the storm we just had?
No. The NCM indicated that the new system, so far weaker with little moisture and not severe.

Areas around Al Ain
-
Some inner and some lower regions of the country
Will temperatures change?
Yes, a big drop in temperatures is coming, especially for parts of the West, with cool weather lasting into midweek.
Will there be high winds or rough seas?
Winds could at times be strong, as high as around 40-45kmph, leading to dust and reduced visibility. Seas will be rough to very rough in the Arabian Gulf.
That’s the big question: Do people need to worry, and are there precautions they should take?
At this point government officials do not fear significant concern over the system due to its weakened state.
What happens after the rain?
The weather bureau has not predicted any rains on April 2, with the cool weather set to persist. Fog or mist may also form in coastal and internal areas in the early hours of morning.
