Travelling through Dubai Airports? Get the special edition Dubai World Cup 2026 stamp
The General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA Dubai) has introduced a special stamp with the “Dubai World Cup 2026” logo, to welcome travellers entering at Dubai airports and celebrate this prestigious global event on its 30th edition dubbed as the Pearl Jubilee.
This is how the 30th edition Dubai World Cup stamp appears:
The showpiece race will be held on March 28 at the Meydan Racecourse in Dubai, and is acknowledged as one of the most prestigious and lucrative horse racing events in the world, attracting fans worldwide.
What started as a daring concept has become an international success story, bringing the worlds of athleticism and artistic creativity together in sensational style.
When Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, introduced his “Dubai World Cup” (DWC) in 1993 he did so with a simple ambition: bring the best equines to the emirate. Almost three decades on, that dream has blossomed into something bigger.
What began as an audacious experiment in international horse racing is now the UAE’s most eagerly awaited social extravaganza — a glamorous raw blending of elite sport, haute couture, tourism and global networking.
The landmark 30th running of the $30.5 million Dubai World Cup will be broadcast live by a record 40 broadcasters to audiences in more than 150 countries.
The Dubai World Cup attracts the best horses from all over the world, as well, including Calandagan, trained in France, who ended last year with a victory in one of the premier races in Japan and stamped himself as a star among international racing legends.
Outside of the track, the DWC is all about style and glamour. Don't miss the fashion on show — the World Cup Style Stakes has become a feature of the event whereby the style lovers don their best looks to win coveted prizes including Best Dressed Lady, Best Dressed Man, Best Hat and Best Dressed Couple.
