Sharjah petrol station cameras to link with police systems
Some Sharjah petrol pumps will soon be connecting their camera systems to the emirate’s police, it has been announced.
As part of the new project, a number of petrol stations in the city will come equipped with interconnected camera systems to allow access to Sharjah Police Operations Room so that response times can be faster and reports dealt with more effectively.
The announcement of the new initiative follows a meeting of Shaikha Al Khouri, director Operations Assurance ADNOC Distribution, and Sharjah Police officials.
The meeting, which was attended by several officials, is part of efforts to develop institutional coordination and unite the joint capabilities of the two parties, in addition to discuss ways of promoting joint work aimed at supporting security controls system.
