Dubai building hit by debris from interception, no injuries

Dubai authorities have verified that debris from a successful interception caused minor damage to the exterior of a central building.

There were no injuries as a result of the incident, which occurred Friday morning and is under investigation for security and safety monitoring purposes.

The Dubai Media Office called on members of the public to continue heeding official advice and exercising caution as authorities implemented preventative measures. First responders arrived quickly to keep the area secure.

Minor incidents on Thursday

Authorities in Dubai responded to a number of minor incidents involving debris and drones, but no injuries were reported. Civil Defence teams responded promptly to control and evaluate the situation.

Key incidents:

Sheikh Zayed Road building: Parts of a successful air defence interception hit a building façade.
Al Bada’a Incident: Minor drone crash; situation assessed and contained.
Dubai Creek Harbour fire: A drone landed on a building, resulting in a small fire that was promptly extinguished.

  • Do not share unverified information that can create panic.

  • Please prioritise safety and do not film or share videos on social media.
